The Amery Arts Alliance will be offering a summer drama camp at the Amery Classic Theatre for students who have completed grade 4 through those who have completed grade 8. This camp helps young performers develop the art of becoming a character and stage presentation, as well as stage movement and vocalization. Participants will work throughout the week to develop and present a one-act play for friends and family at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 15.

The Becky Schlegel Duo hails from Rochester, Minn., and has been in the entertainment business for many years. Becky is known for her appearances on the Midwest Country TV show in Sandstone, Minn.. Midwest Country shows weekly on RFD-TV. The Becky Schlegel Duo plays venues from Rochester to Sandstone, Minn., as well as dates in Wisconsin, the Dakotas and many others.
This one-day drama camp is for children ages 7-12. The workshop will explore stage movement, vocal skills and character development through drama games and exercises. No previous acting experience is necessary.
A short play will be developed during the day and a performance for camp participant's friends and family members will be presented at the end of the day. All participants should bring a packed lunch for the day.
Cost of the workshop is $10.00 per participant. A parent or guardian must sign participants in at the theatre the morning of the workshop and pick them up at the theatre after the performance. Pre-registration is required.

The author of The Practical Beekeeper, Natural Beekeeping will be presenting on various topics. Michael is an accomplished beekeeper in the area of natural beekeeping. He has a tremendous amount of experience in many different areas of beekeeping. He is a natural beekeeper, but more importantly he is an excellent beekeeper.
Amy is Majoring in Vocal Performance, with a minor in Church Music. Amy has been heard singing in many venues locally, as well as during her years in High School.
The Amery Classic Theatre is the perfect venue for Amy to show her great range of talent. Her vocal talent and musical abilities will be obvious; you will enjoy the concert, AND help Amy raise capital to fund her college education.
