She will perform a few songs, read from her new memoir My Own Devices, take Q&A with the audience, and, of special note, have a conversation with her mother, Sylvia Burgos Toftness, who raises grass-fed beef at Bull Brook Keep in Amery, WI. The Amery Arts Alliance is using this Opry with well-known artists to test if the community is interested in keeping the theatre operating. If the theatre has a full house (224) seats, it will be a sign that the community wants the theatre to continue. The Amery Arts Alliance has run out of money to subsidize theatre operations. If there is not an adequate audience, shows will cease while the theatre continues to operate.
“The Unbroken Circle” is a story about forgiveness and redemption as a pastor and his family move into their new church, and into the middle of a church conflict which is still raging after sixty years. Before it’s over, everyone must learn how to forgive and be forgiven...including the pastor himself.
The movie was made entirely around Amery, Wisconsin, especially the area of Deronda. It features all local actors and crew, including Jody Fergusion as Production Manager and Leslie Judkins as Assistant Production Manager.

Patrick Donohue is an American fingerstyle guitarist born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a Grammy winning, National Fingerpicking Guitar Champion songwriter. Donohue has several albums to his credit and his songs have been recorded by Chet Atkins, Suzy Bogguss, and Kenny Rogers. He performed on A Prairie Home Companion for several years, both as a member of the house band and as a featured artist.

The Amery Arts Alliance will be offering a summer drama camp at the Amery Classic Theatre for students who have completed grade 4 through those who have completed grade 8. This camp helps young performers develop the art of becoming a character and stage presentation, as well as stage movement and vocalization. Participants will work throughout the week to develop and present a one-act play for friends and family at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 15.

This one-day drama camp is for children ages 7-12. The workshop will explore stage movement, vocal skills and character development through drama games and exercises. No previous acting experience is necessary.
A short play will be developed during the day and a performance for camp participant's friends and family members will be presented at the end of the day. All participants should bring a packed lunch for the day.
Cost of the workshop is $10.00 per participant. A parent or guardian must sign participants in at the theatre the morning of the workshop and pick them up at the theatre after the performance. Pre-registration is required.

Amy is Majoring in Vocal Performance, with a minor in Church Music. Amy has been heard singing in many venues locally, as well as during her years in High School.
