She will perform a few songs, read from her new memoir My Own Devices, take Q&A with the audience, and, of special note, have a conversation with her mother, Sylvia Burgos Toftness, who raises grass-fed beef at Bull Brook Keep in Amery, WI. Farm Table will serve local cheeses, meats, and veggies. This is a unique evening you won’t want to miss.

The Amery Arts Alliance is using this Opry with well-known artists to test if the community is interested in keeping the theatre operating. If the theatre has a full house (224) seats, it will be a sign that the community wants the theatre to continue. The Amery Arts Alliance has run out of money to subsidize theatre operations. If there is not an adequate audience, shows will cease while the theatre continues to operate.

"Unbroken Circle"

“The Unbroken Circle” is a story about forgiveness and redemption as a pastor and his family move into their new church, and into the middle of a church conflict which is still raging after sixty years.  Before it’s over, everyone must learn how to forgive and be forgiven...including the pastor himself.
The movie was made entirely around Amery, Wisconsin, especially the area of Deronda.  It features all local actors and crew, including Jody Fergusion as Production Manager and Leslie Judkins as Assistant Production Manager.

Three Shades of Gray is a Classic, Acoustic, Rock, Country Band from Western Wisconsin.  They first appeared at the Theatre last year at our Light The Marquee Open House event.
Rex Cactus and his Radio Rangers, Headquartered in Luck, WI.  A veteran country music group that has been playing for more than 25 years. Rex is heard the last Friday each month at 10:00 a.m. on WPCA Radio

Pat Donohue

Patrick Donohue is an American fingerstyle guitarist born in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a Grammy winning, National Fingerpicking Guitar Champion songwriter. Donohue has several albums to his credit and his songs have been recorded by Chet Atkins, Suzy Bogguss, and Kenny Rogers. He performed on A Prairie Home Companion for several years, both as a member of the house band and as a featured artist.

Summer Drama Camp

The Amery Arts Alliance will be offering a summer drama camp at the Amery Classic Theatre for students who have completed grade 4 through those who have completed grade 8.  This camp helps young performers develop the art of becoming a character and stage presentation, as well as stage movement and vocalization.  Participants will work throughout the week to develop and present a one-act play for friends and family at 4:00 pm on Friday, June 15. 
The cost of registration will be $65.00
